Practice of Perception and Listening

Today, when I walked in the park, I noticed that I have 2 choices that I make me a happier person. 2 choices that I can make any time and anywhere.

Choice #1: Choice between the voice in the head and the voice in the nature

The voice in the head consists of repetitive dialogues within oneself. 99% of the time is related to a problem that you were faced/will be facing. It is usually not relaxing as you continuously replay the same voice over and over.

The voice in the nature is consists of the sounds of insects, the sound of winds (depending what the wind is interacting with, it could be tree leaves), the sound of ocean waves, etc. It is usually calm and alive.

Choice #2: Choice between imagination and image of the nature (imaginature)

Imagination is made up by the mind. Although it can be fulfilling, it turns out that it can be destructive as well when your happiness depends on it.

Image of the nature (Imaginature) is real. At least you cannot argue with it because all arguments with it is not very useful.

Lesson

My practice would be to consistently choose the voice of the nature and the imaginature in every situation I encounter in my life.
